*** The book of life and the eternal judgment


 
 
Matthew 

1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and HIS disciples came to HIM  for to shew HIM the buildings of the temple.

2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

Everything we can see with our natural eyes will be destroyed at the time of The Great Tribulation.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

(By this we see that some of the elect of God will still be living on the earth during the great tribulation.)

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Then comes the judgment on each individual, good and bad.

Revelation 20

11 And I saw a great white throne, and HIM that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 3:5  (Jesus says)  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before HIS angels.

We overcome all things, large things and small things, by turning to God in prayer and hearing from HIS Spirit and by believing what God says, and by faith in HIS Word to us and by doing HIS word upon this earth.

Our name can be blotted out of the book of life, if we fail to overcome the problems of this life through turning to God and doing HIS will.

I Corinthians 6

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

(nor abusers of themselves with this world:  seeking pleasures of this world; seeking things of this world and money of this world, and praise of men of this world, and such)

Isaiah 54:17 ... and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.

As we walk and live and breathe daily on this present earth our righteousness is of God for HE shows us what to do and what to think by HIS Holy Spirit who is in us.

As we continually do what God shows us, our righteousness is of God for it is HE who showed us to do and to think those things that day.

Thus ... in HIM we live and move and have our being ... (Acts 17:28)

So daily we ask God to fill our day.

And we follow HIM doing as HE shows us by HIS Spirit.

2 Corinthians 5:10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
