I Corinthians 1:17-18 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

John 1
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by HIM; and without HIM was not any thing made that was made.
4 In HIM was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
The Word was born in the form of flesh by the Holy Ghost through Mary.
God sent HIM to this world to save man. Through HIS blood the price is paid for our sins.
Hebrews 7:22-28 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: But this man, because HE continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore HE is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by HIM, seeing HE ever liveth to make intercession for them.
For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for HIS own sins, and then for the people's: for this HE did once, when HE offered up HIMSELF. For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
Jesus shed HIS blood for our sins.
John 14:6 Jesus (The Word) says:
I (The Word) am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by ME.
💥 John 1:10-14 HE was in the world, and the world was made by HIM, and the world knew HIM not.
11 HE came unto HIS own, and HIS own received HIM not.
12 But as many as received HIM, to them gave HE power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on HIS name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld HIS glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

💥 Matthew 16:13-18
14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, THOU art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but MY Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build MY church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
God revealed to Peter that Jesus was the son of God. By the WORD which comes down to us from heaven from God by the Holy Spirit we are born again, called by God to be HIS children, the church. And the gates of hell will never prevail against that WORD that is revealed to us from God.
