*** Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. (Prov. 4:23)

Romans 12:2

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

2 Corinthians 10:5

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Building your house on the word from God:

Philippians 2:7  (Jesus)   made Himself of no reputation,

John 18:36  Jesus said:  My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Ephesians 4:19  Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

The sayings of this world will go into your heart and bear fruit unless you take every thought captive to bring it into obedience of the Word.

For example:

Men say:  "The only thing sure are death and taxes."

But the apostle Paul says:  "We will not all die."  (I Cor. 15:51)

Men tell you how much you should exercise and what exercise will do for you.

But the apostle Paul says:  Bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.  (I Tim. 4:8)

Some churches teach a doctrine of once saved always saved.

Jesus says:  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
(Revelation 3:5)

The people of the world and the apostate churches speak many things not of the Bible.

We build our house on that which we read in the Bible.  And when something opposite to Bible comes, we reestablish our thinking by Bible.
