Book: Preface : Jesus sets up the New Testament Church from Heaven

Preface

Ephesians 4:8;11-12   Wherefore HE (Jesus) saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men... 11 And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Paul is one example of an apostle and teacher called by Jesus from heaven for the work of the ministry.

In today's New Testament church, ministers also have the call of Jesus on their lives and are put into the ministry offices by Jesus and taught by Jesus.

But there are also many who are not called by Jesus but put themselves into ministry in churches by going to Bible colleges.

Jude tells of these in the following scriptures.

4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

(They say, "Jesus is Lord", but they deny some of the scriptures which are Jesus, The Word.)

17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 18 How that they told you there should be mockers (copiers) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. 19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

2 Peter 2   (The apostle Peter also warns us.)

1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you:

Jesus warned us about them also.

Matthew 24

3 And as HE (Jesus)  sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto HIM privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of THY coming, and of the end of the world?

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in MY name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Because they say "Jesus is Lord", they deceive many in the churches.  But they omit portions of scripture from the Bible and set up their own doctrines which are opposite to Bible.

This is the apostate church and it began at the time of Paul when many, even elders, would speak perverse things to gather church individuals to themselves.

Paul tells us this in Acts 20:29-30  (Paul speaking to the elders at Ephesus)  For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.  Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

And the apostle John tells us that antichrist was already there in the church in his day.

I John 2:18  Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

In the early church of the New Testament the ministers of God spoke of Jesus at the Synagogues and were persecuted greatly by the Jewish priests and the people who believed not.

Today, antichrist in the church fights against some of the Holy Scriptures of the New Testament Bible and discards portions of the doctrines of Christ.

With the coming of Jesus, HE will destroy the apostate churches and the antichrist ministers in those churches.

2 Thessalonians 2:8-12

8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of HIS mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of HIS coming:

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

This book contains many writings from The Book of Acts showing the working of God and the ways God communicates with the New Testament church.

When we see something God has done to help the people in the New Testament Bible, we can know that God could use the same type of deliverance for us today.

Our faith in God is increased as we read these examples and listen to these Podcasts.
