The ministries given by Jesus to the NT church after Jesus arose into heaven are the ministries of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher. (Eph. 4:11)
Church groups often call their ministers by other names and it is wrong to do this.
In England their pastors are called "vicars".
The Catholics call their ministers by the names of pope, archbishop, cardinal, priests (None of these are found in the NT Bible.)
Sometimes protestant churches will have evangelists, pastors, and teachers but deny apostles and prophets.
But in Ephesians 4, we read of those ministers who are given to the New Testament church and they are as follows:
After Jesus arose into heaven ... "He (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:" (Eph. 4:11-12)
This podcast tells of these ministry offices which are ordained by Jesus for today's church.
