* Before the second coming of Jesus, the churches will fall away from scripture allowing antichrist into the church groups.

For centuries, churches have debated:  Who is antichrist?

In the early 1800's, the Russians thought the antichrist was Napoleon.

When I was born again and began attending a church group, they talked about antichrist and they said they thought antichrist was Henry Kissinger.

Some people considered Hitler to be antichrist.

The truth about antichrist is told us in the following scripture.

The apostle John said:  I John 2:18-19  Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

19  They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

Antichrist is not one person.  Antichrist is a spirit in many people in religious settings.

The apostle Paul said Jesus would not come unless there was first a falling away.  And Paul spoke of antichrist sitting "in the temple of God" showing himself to be god.

We see that antichrist comes through the church.

II Thessalonians 2:3-4  (KJV)   The apostle Paul says:

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

In 1982, I was reading the above scripture and God spoke to me by the Holy Spirit and said:  "The falling away are not people leaving churches.  The falling away are the churches leaving the scriptures."

II Thessalonians 2  (NASB)

6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.

In 2017, God called the word "restrain" to my attention.  I remembered that word in the NASB of II Thessalonians 2.

When I read verse 6, I said to God, "What is it that restrains antichrist?"

Instantly I knew the restraint against antichrist was the scripture.  As soon as portions of scripture were removed from the churches, antichrist moved into the churches and set up his own doctrine.

Antichrist does not repent and he does not show any shame when he is confronted with the truth.

Antichrist twists the scripture and alters doctrine and congregations often love the change in the doctrines for now they can commit sins without the restraint that was once there in scripture.

They are now free to sin and be approved by churches who have changed the doctrine of Christ and no longer speak of sin.

The true Christians want freedom from sin so they will continue to cling to scripture for by scripture they free themselves from sins by following the scriptures.
