For several days this past week, I kept feeling that I'm not doing well enough and that I'm even going to be cut off from God.
Of course I kept crying out to God for help.
Then the Holy Spirit reminded me of the following:
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
So after being reminded of the above scripture, I addressed that spirit directly, saying, "Do you confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh?"
Then the Holy Spirit reminded me of the following:
I John 4

So I asked again ... and this second time I heard a very faint sounding, "no".

That ended the attacks by that spirit. Since I did this by direction of the Holy Spirit that spirit stopped trying to make me doubt.
I asked God for help and God choose to give me the information of what to do in this specific matter and it was by the Holy Spirit which I followed by doing I John 4.
