Many times I have presented scripture to those persons who say they are Christians, only to have them say to me, at our church, we have our own doctrine.
A Jewish woman said she believed in Jesus but they did not follow the Bible at their church because they have their own doctrine.
(How twisted: You say you believe in Jesus, but you can't accept a doctrine that is in the Bible, because they have their own doctrine at their church group ... I've seen this many times with Catholics, Church of Christ, Non Denominational and other church goers.)
Jesus said: Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. Mark 7:9

Churches cast aside scripture that conflicts with their own church doctrines:
* Matthew 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
* I Corinthians 7:10-11 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
* I Corinthians 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
* Romans 1:26-27 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
* Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
* Ephesians 4:8, 11-14 Wherefore he saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

* I John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
... and many other doctrines of Bible are rejected to keep the doctrines at churches today.
