When we allow ourselves to be led by money we often go in the wrong direction and even bring harm upon ourselves and our families.
Paul teaches us and warns us:
I Tim. 6:5-19 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, (who are) supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

1 John 2:15-17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lustof the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
16 For all that is in the world, the lustof the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Jesus shows HIS disciples that the time comes that all those things they admire will be destroyed.
Matthew 24:1-2 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and HIS disciples came to HIM for to shew HIM the buildings of the temple. (Lk. 21:5 And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts)
2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
All those things which we can see with our natural eyes and admire will be destroyed in the end times.

Seek wisdom from God:
Proverbs 2:6-8 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of HIS mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
7 HE layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: HE is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
8 HE keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of HIS saints.
7 HE layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: HE is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
8 HE keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of HIS saints.
