* The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

Jesus says:   Whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.  (Mt. 5:32)

The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

But does the unmarried woman commit adultery if she marries a divorced man?

In the thinking of this world, rules for men and women have to be the same.  But that is not the case in the way of God as presented in the Holy Bible.  Sometimes there are different rules of God for men as compared with women.

Example in this Podcast:

*****

Matthew 5:32   Jesus says to the men:  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.  (Mt. 5:32)

Upon remarriage, the divorced woman commits adultery.

If the man divorces an unfaithful wife, that man can remarry and the unmarried woman can marry a divorced man without penalty provided the man's previous wife was committing fornication against him.

We must renew our minds to the Bible on these issues for they will not sound fair to people in most parts of this world today.

Romans 12:2   And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

A commandment of the Lord:

I Corinthians 7:10-11  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

When considering divorce/remarriage, you must keep I Corinthians 7:10-11 in mind.

The judgment seat of Christ:

II Corinthians 5:

9  Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of HIM (of Jesus/the Word).

10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

11  Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men;

At the judgement seat of Christ each of us will be judged by that which we have done on this earth and we will be judged by The Word of God, the Holy Scriptures, whether we do good or bad.

We should therefore agree with scriptures and do that which scriptures say to us.

Our name can be blotted out of the book of life, says Jesus.

Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life,

That would mean damnation for all eternity.

Or we might suffer loss of reward in heaven, but be saved.

II John

8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

When a person sins "willfully" after he has the knowledge of the truth, it is very serious.  That willful person might lose his salvation ... for there is no more sacrifice for sin after your sins have once been forgiven and you have been shown the truth of God on the issue at hand.

Hebrews 10

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

30 For we know Him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge His people.

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Or to sin willfully after the knowledge of the truth, you might be turned over to Satan for the destruction of your flesh.

I Corinthians 5:4-5 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,  To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

They will not be restored by prayer and counselling after they willfully discard the Word of God.

Hebrews 6

4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Peter warns us:

II Peter 2

20  For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
