* In their hearts, people "boasted" over that which they would do "next year". Then Coronavirus came!

James 3

13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:

14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.

And what is that which is coming?

* The great tribulation of God:  The 14 plagues  (Rev. 8, 9, 16)

* God shakes the power of heaven before Jesus comes through the clouds:  (Mt. 24:29)

* Then comes Jesus and gathers HIS elect, removing them from this earth. (Mt 24:30-31)

* Last, God destroys this present heaven and earth. (II Peter 3:10-14)

By thinking on these assured things, boasts concerning what we will do in the future might change considerably.

Also those things we thought to be so important might diminish greatly as we think on that which is coming according to the Bible.
