* Paul tells us the reason for the "perilous times" of the last days.

In II Timothy 3, the apostle Paul tells us that in the last days, "perilous times" will come.

The reason times are perilous is because of that which is in people.

We have just witnessed the fierceness of the riot on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.   Some rioters said they were saving democracy, when they were actually taking action against the democratic form of government.

This is "delusion".

Paul says in II Timothy 3, verses 2-4:

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

(It is not that humans will have all of these "bad" characteristics.  They will have some of these character problems.  One person might be "fierce" while another is "covetous.")

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

(Usually each of these people will think what he does is good and he will explain it as good, while the Bible shows us the opposite about that which he says and does.)

Some people think they do well when what they are doing is exactly opposite from what God says is "good" in the Bible.

On CNN International, on Internet on January 12, 2021, the newscaster Anderson Cooper made the following statement:  "Being gay is one of the blessings of my life."

The Bible says:  Romans 1 ... 25 (Because they) changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever...  26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:  27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

By the Bible, we know God's thinking about the subject.

Delusion comes to individuals but we, who are of God, must pray before we accept that delusion and we consider that which the Bible says as we evaluate that which is truth from God, and we cling to the truth from God from the Bible, avoiding lies which devils try to bring to our minds.

In this Podcast, I will present various forms of delusion:

*****

And Paul said one of the reasons for the perilous times was some men would be "without natural affection".

And Paul said some people would be "incontinent" and some would be "fierce".

But all these extremes listed by Paul as reasons for the "perilous times" of the last days will be that which is within men of the last days.

A delusion is when a person thinks he is right when he is wrong.  Or when he sees himself as a patriot when he is a traitor.  Or he thinks he is great when he is not great. Or when he thinks he does good when he does evil.
