* Jesus says: "I can of mine own self do nothing. As I hear (from God) I judge." John 5:30

We should be exactly the same as Jesus.  We should understand that of our own selves we can do nothing.  We hear from God the Father through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us and we learn to follow THAT Word.

John 14:26

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 16:13

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear (from God), that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

We recognize the thoughts that are from God by the following:

James 3:17  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

But if we are in envy and strife there is confusion and every evil work.  James 3

We must give up the envy and strife through repentance and prayer.

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Antichrist in the churches thinks he can do the works of God by his own wisdom and he does not call on God for wisdom concerning his plans, for he is opposite to God and thinks of himself to be able to do spiritual things.

Jesus says:

John 5:30  I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear (from God), I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

John 6:63  It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Romans 8

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

The flesh in us wants to do things of the flesh.  But the Holy Spirit in us will try to lead us in the ways of God.  We have the choice, whether we will do that which our flesh wants to do or whether we will walk following the Spirit of God, doing what God wants done in the specific issue of this life.  If we choose to follow the desires of the flesh there is condemnation.  But if we choose to put down the flesh and follow the Spirit there is no condemnation.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you

Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.

10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

11 But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, HE that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.

(The Holy Spirit of God who is in us reminds us of all that the Word has said to us so we can choose to go in the way of God, keeping our flesh under the control of the Spirit and not allowing our flesh to do what it wants to do.)

12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
