Humans cause things to become so twisted and complex in their own wisdom. When God gives us a small bit of information it is so clear and simple. Here is what God said to me about divorce and remarriage.
*****
Concerning remarriage after divorce:
A minister called me wanting to discuss her mother's second marriage.
God said to me, "Just focus on the scriptures."

It is critical to understand that Jesus was speaking to the Jewish men when HE spoke the following.
Matthew 5
29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
32 But I say unto you,That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Jesus shows there are different rules for men and for women on the subject of divorce and remarriage. If a man has a faithful wife and he divorces that faithful wife, she will commit adultery if she remarries, but that husband who divorced the faithful wife will be the cause of her adultery.
And the man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.
If the wife is unfaithful, I believe the man is permitted to remarry.
But the woman is not permitted to remarry and if she does remarry, it is clearly stated by Jesus that she will commit adultery if she remarries after divorce.
And the man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.
If the wife is unfaithful, I believe the man is permitted to remarry.
But the woman is not permitted to remarry and if she does remarry, it is clearly stated by Jesus that she will commit adultery if she remarries after divorce.

In the following the apostle Paul presents a ruling for the New Testament church and Paul makes it clear that this ruling is "a commandment of the Lord."
10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

Romans 7:1-3 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

Mark 10:11-12 Jesus says: Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

As is usual with God, the way is very simple and clear-cut. Humans make things complicated with their reasonings.
You can either do the instructions of the scripture or not do them.
You can give many reasons and explanations, but we will all be judged by the scriptures.
II Corinthians 5
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men;
If that which we choose to do agrees wiith scripture, we will be judged as having done good.

At the time of sexual intercourse, the two become one flesh: (even when it is sex with a prostitute)
I Corinthians 6
16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.
17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Mark 10
3 And HE (Jesus) answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?
4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.
5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.
6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.
9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
10 And in the house his disciples asked HIM again of the same matter.
11 And HE saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.
12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

It is simple: We are saved by agreeing with scripture and by believing that which the Holy Spirit speaks to us which agrees with scripture.

Antichrist in the churches today: Doctrine changed from the Holy New Testament Bible.
I John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

Acts 20:29-30 The apostle Paul says to the Elders of the New Testament church at Ephesus:
Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

Antichrist in today's churches:
2 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
(Churches "falling away" from scriptures and setting up doctrines opposite to the direction given in scripture.)
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

II Thessalonians 2
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

II Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
