Pam Padgett was raised Catholic. From her earliest remembrance she heard the Catholic church was the one true church. After she was born again, she continued in Catholic church. A Methodist friend often asked Pam, "And where is that in the Bible," when Pam would speak Catholic doctrine.
At first Pam thought it had to be in the Bible for that is what she had been taught in the Catholic church. She began looking in the Bible for that doctrine she had been taught in the Catholic church and it was not in the Bible. Several times this happened.
Finally Pam made out a list of questions about doctrine and presented this list to a Catholic nun and that nun's face turned totally white and then Pam knew the truth about the Catholic church.

Jesus says:
Matthew 5:32
But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
* The faithful wife who has been divorced by her husband commits adultery if she remarries after divorce.
* The man who marries that divorced woman commits adultery.
* The husband who divorces a faithful wife is the cause of the faithful wife's adultery when she remarries after he divorces her.

Paul says: Concerning "tongues" in the church:
I Corinthians 14:39 Forbid not to speak with tongues.

Before Jesus can return, the apostasy must be taking place in the churches.
Paul explains:
II Thessalonians 2:3-4 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
(Church groups would fall away from scripture which allows antichrist to come into the church and reign over the church.)
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

People who do not care about the truth ... People who fail to love the truth.
II Thessalonians 2
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

Carnal Christians:
I Corinthians 3
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
(I am Catholic. I am Baptist. I am Methodist. "Are ye not carnal.")
5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
(We should say we are Christians.)
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
People and the churches make their own ministers into Idols in the eyes of the congregations.
There is no place in the Bible where a man is called "Reverend". Ministers in the New Testament Bible and New Testament church are: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher (Ephesians 4:8;11)
There is no place in the Bible where a man is called "Reverend". Ministers in the New Testament Bible and New Testament church are: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher (Ephesians 4:8;11)
Neither is any man in Bible called: pope, cardinal, archbishop, or "Father".
Jesus says: They love to wear long robes, and to sit in the chief seats of the synagogues. (Paraphrased: Matthew 23:5-6)
Matthew 23
6 And (they) love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
(There is no such thing as "Priests" in the New Testament church. Ministers in today's church, according to Jesus, are called: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers (Ephesians 4:8;11-13)
It's terrible what is going on today in church groups.
Idols are set up in today's church. If they add something to the religious service when it is not in the New Testament Bible, it is "Idolatry."
The following "Idols" are set up in today's church groups:
* Crossing yourselves (not in Bible)
* Lighting candles with prayer, or any other time as a part of religion
* "Holy" water to cross yourselves
* Wearing crosses or "religious" medallions
* Praying to anyone other than God
* Calling crackers & grape juice "The Lord's Supper" (The Lord's supper is partaking of the Word of God.)
* Christmas has become an idol greatly observed: Not in Bible to do this at all. Easter is not in Bible to observe this. (Unger: Easter was added to the church by men in 8th century. Easter was taken from the pagan goddess of spring.) In Acts 12, the word Easter means "The Passover". Lent: Jesus paid sacrifice for us in today's church. To pay your own sacrifice by stopping doing something at "Lent" is an abomination and denies the sacrifice paid by Jesus with HIS own blood.
* Graven images: Setting up statues in the church building and kneeling before statues in religious ceremonies
* Music: when used as entertainment in the church
* Reverend: There is no place in the Bible where a man is called "Reverend." To do this and to allow this to be done is to set up that human as an Idol in the church group and to worship that man.

I Timothy 4
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
The apostle Peter was married.
The apostle Peter was married and had a mother-in-law and children.
Jesus came to Peter's house and found Peter's mother-in-law was sick and Jesus healed her.
Matthew 8:14-15 And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever. And HE touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.
The fact that any church forbids a minister to marry is contrary to the instruction given in the New Testament Bible. It is a terrible sin to forbid such. And when they set this rule up concerning ministers, it sets up much opportunity for sin and for a gathering of homosexuals in their ministries and for child abuse as we have witnessed in the Catholic church for many decades.

Elders in the church:
In the NT Bible, elder and bishop are the same thing, the word "elder" and "bishop" are used interchangeably.
Titus 1
4 To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.
5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
I Timothy 3
1 This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop (elder same thing / Titus 1), he desireth a good work.
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. 7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Only by Jesus, The Word of God, can we go to God. (We can't go to God through a church group, nor through Buddah, nor through Mohammed ... only through Jesus the Word can we go to God.)
Only by Jesus, The Word of God, can we go to God. (We can't go to God through a church group, nor through Buddah, nor through Mohammed ... only through Jesus the Word can we go to God.)
Only by the New Testament Bible taught us by the Holy Spirit of God can we go to God.

II Corinthians 3:5-6 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
Many church doctrines have been set up by the natural eyes of men and by what they thought the Bible was saying, by the letter, but not of the Spirit.
Scriptures must be interpreted to us by the Holy Spirit of God.

II Corinthians 4
2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
