* When we believe, we act.

God speaks to us through scripture, through dreams, through concepts brought to our minds by the Holy Spirit of God.  When we believe that word, we act upon that which that word said to us.  Without action, the word becomes void in our lives.

Abraham believed God ... so he did what God told him to do.

God chooses to speak something to us.  We hear and believe it was God who spoke.  Then after we believe, we act upon that word.  This is the essence of faith in God.  We have faith it was God speaking to us in that issue.

A lack of action is evidence that we do not really believe that word from God.

Genesis 12

1 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

4 So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him;

(All God told Abram to do was to get out of that country where his father lived.  So that is what Abram did. Abram left not knowing where he was going but trusting in God.)

Genesis 6

12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of:

(And God went on to tell Noah the exact specification for the building of the ark and exactly what he should do ...)

22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

Very simple:

* Hear when the Word comes.
* Decide if it is God speaking to you.
* When you believe it is God speaking then ...
* Do exactly what God says to do.

Examine yourself:  What was the last word I heard from God?  scripture, dream, concept

Start with "that" word.  Consider it again.  Did I do that word?  Am I still doing that word?

When you do that word, you drive onto the Highway of God.  Stay on that highway by continuing in that word.  When you hear another word, it is like a fork in the road.  Do the second word and continue on that road by doing that word.

Jesus says:

John 8:31-32  Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in MY word, then are ye MY disciples indeed;

Continue:  do that word and keep doing that word

Then the following promise is attached after we continue doing that word.

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Your works show what you believe.

James 2

18 Shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Matthew 7

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Isaiah 55

God says:

8 For MY thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways MY ways, saith the Lord.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are MY ways higher than your ways, and MY thoughts than your thoughts.

10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

11 So shall MY word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto ME void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

(Some of the following scriptures are not presented in this recording but I will enclose them anyway.)

The word comes by scripture:

For example:

Philippians 2:5-7

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God  (Jesus didn't try to be equal to God);

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

We do not have to exalt ourselves to try to show ourselves to be "God".  Instead, we turn from that and make ourselves "of no reputation", not trying to outdo everyone else.

This way is exactly opposite to the way of this world and it is opposite to that which is natural to the flesh to do.

But because we believe this is what we should do, we deliberately set about to do this.

We no longer try to keep up with the Jones'.  We no longer try to beat others.  Instead we try to help our former enemies. And we, from the heart, wish them good instead of evil.  We do not wish for them to continue in evil but rather our wish for them is that they would turn from evil things to God as we are now doing.

As Jesus, we become, "as servants", helping when we can.

After we have travelled on this highway doing this scripture, we find we have freed ourselves from many desires of our flesh which work only evil and not good.

Galatians 5:19-21

21  Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these;

Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like:

We take this scripture as far as it will take us, getting every drop of blood from this scripture, doing it, continuing to do it ... allowing this scripture to work in us for days, weeks, months, years.

Doing this scripture will free us from ourselves!

Then comes a fork in the road and another scripture and we head down that road, doing that scripture as long as it takes us ...

By doing these scriptures throughout the day and night, we stay on God's highway and we end up exactly where God wants us as we live on this present earth ... doing one verse of scripture after another as long as we live on this earth.

Every time the Holy Spirit calls our attention to a scripture and we choose to do that scripture, we are recreated into the image of Christ, the Word.

The Word comes by dreams:

Job 33

14 For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.

15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;

16 Then HE
(God) openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,

17 That HE may withdraw man from his (own) purpose, and hide pride from man.

18 HE keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

The Word comes by concepts brought to our mind by the Holy Spirit:

When I fell at my house on December 6, 2018, and was trying to crawl to area, with broken hip and broken wrist, where phone was located, it seemed impossible.  God said to me by HIS Spirit, "You can do this."  And because of that word I kept crawling, 1/4 inch at a time.

As ambulance worker removed me from my house, rolling me past my front door, I heard from the Holy Spirit, "You'll never see this house again."

Both of these "concepts" given by the Holy Spirit altered my direction and saved my life!

John 16:13   Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

***

II Timothy 3:12   Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

***

Matthew 10  (Jesus says)

34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Action is the evidence that we believe it was God who showed us to do that thing that we do.
